Buckden Partners has been mandated by a leading Property Management operator, managing 12,500+ homes across the UK, who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support their continued growth.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of the month-end process, management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, while playing a key role in improving processes and supporting business decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts with insightful commentary
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with year-end audits
- Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Drive process improvements across finance systems and controls
- Mentor a junior member of the finance team
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years\' post-qualified experience
- Strong management accounting, reporting and reconciliation experience
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Strong Excel skills and experience using Sage or similar accounting systems
- Property sector experience is beneficial but not essential
