Overview: Buckden Partners has been mandated by a leading corporate finance advisory firm. They are looking to recruit a Senior Associate/Assistant Director into their Risk Advisory function.
Skill Requirements:
- Several years experience within a risk advisory, corporate finance or similar role, with experience of transaction management, client engagement, and advising or lending.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and legislative requirements for hedge accounting.
- Experience in financial, operational and market risk management.
- Experience of using financial models to support complex financial decision making.
- Adaptable, able to pick up new assets, sectors and products, as well as prioritising and simultaneously working on multiple transactions of differing complexity.
Competencies:
- Some familiarity with financial structures including debt, derivatives, interest rate hedging, inflation products, high yield, whole business securitisations and/or liability management.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Hedging Strategies: Support and advise clients in creating and implementing strategies to manage market risks such as foreign exchange, interest rates, commodities, and credit risks.
- Risk Identification and Management: Support and advise clients to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risk.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all hedging activities comply with regulations and internal policies.
- External Partnerships: Collaborate with external advisors, financial institutions, and counterparties to execute hedging transactions.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop team members and colleagues across the group.
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to internal team members and colleagues.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Participate in strategic projects across the group.
