An established boutique bank is seeking an experienced Relationship Director / Associate Director to originate, structure and manage residential Real Estate investment loans. This role offers the opportunity to build and grow a high-quality portfolio of real estate clients, providing tailored lending solutions while working closely with internal credit, portfolio management and private banking teams.
You will develop and manage relationships with experienced Real Estate professionals, supporting their financing needs across residential investment assets. Typical transaction sizes range between £3m – £30m, working with investors and property professionals across the London & South East real estate market.
Key Responsibilities- Originate and manage relationships with professional Real Estate investors
- Build and grow a profitable portfolio of lending and client relationships
- Structure and deliver real estate investment loans
- Prepare and present credit proposals and lending cases to credit committees
- Manage both assets and liabilities, including the ongoing management of a loan book
- Develop strong relationships with external introducers, brokers and professional advisers
- Work closely with internal banking, credit, compliance and operations teams
- Maintain strong risk management and regulatory compliance standards
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Banker or Real Estate Finance professional with strong market knowledge and a proven ability to originate and manage lending relationships. You will typically bring:
- Experience in Commercial Banking or Real Estate Finance
- Strong understanding of investment lending
- Proven ability to originate and grow client relationships
- Experience structuring real estate lending transactions
- Strong credit analysis and credit paper writing skills
- A network across property investors, brokers or advisers
- Excellent relationship management and business development skills
