Buckden Partners have been mandated by our specialist real estate lender with diverse funding capability across a variety of sub-sectors and financing scenarios. They look at transactions throughout Europe and the United Kingdom and provide both single-site and platform level funding across acquisition, development, and special situations.
They are looking for a junior investment professional at the Analyst level (with 1 to 2 years of work experience) to join their real estate debt investment team with the versatility to get involved with other aspects of the business. This role would suit a highly analytical individual with excellent academic qualifications and a genuine interest in, and experience with, real estate investments. The role will include research, financial analysis and transactions underwriting predominantly for real estate (mezz and senior) debt opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, amending and updating models (ranging in complexity) for RE Debt transactions; running scenarios on the models and producing outputs for external and internal purposes.
- Creating new models based on ad hoc transactions.
- Performing sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Performing analytical review on the integrity of internal models using complex formulas.
- Executing quantitative deal analysis and ad hoc modelling.
- Executing qualitative transaction analysis with the ability to form a sound opinion on the borrower and the property, by performing thorough Due Diligence on both, including: Sector, geographical and economic evaluation to evaluate impact on transactions and portfolio.
- Providing commercial and analytical support on key projects and initiatives and producing tools to analyse specific business opportunities.
