My client is an Alternative Lender providing Bridging Finance. They are growing their operations function and looking to recruit an experienced Completions Officer / Senior Completions Officer.
Overview: This is a broad, hands-on role covering the full loan lifecycle. You will work closely with solicitors to take cases from formal offer through to drawdown, manage ongoing loan servicing including further advances and redemptions, chase payments and manage arrears, and handle problem cases through to resolution or enforcement. You will be the key operational contact for borrowers, brokers and solicitors at every stage.
Responsibilities:
- Loan Completion & Drawdown
- Work with solicitors and borrowers to progress cases from formal offer to drawdown, managing conditions precedent and outstanding legal requirements.
- Coordinate with the underwriting team, approved law firms and brokers to ensure all pre-drawdown requirements are satisfied within agreed timescales.
- Instruct solicitors, monitor progress and chase outstanding items to keep completions on track.
- Review completion statements and authorise drawdowns in accordance with internal sign-off procedures.
- Keep brokers and borrowers updated throughout the completion process.
- Loan Servicing, Further Advances & Redemptions
- Process further advance and stage drawdown requests on development and refurbishment loans, liaising with monitoring surveyors to approve releases.
- Review supporting documentation, updated valuations and surveyor reports for each further advance.
- Manage the redemption process end-to-end: issuing redemption statements, coordinating with solicitors and treasury, ensuring funds are received and correctly allocated, and confirming title releases.
- Handle extension requests, preparing case summaries and recommendations for credit committee where required.
- Ensure all charge registrations at Land Registry and Companies House are completed correctly and on time.
- Payments & Arrears
- Monitor the loan book for missed or late payments and contact borrowers promptly to resolve payment queries.
- Maintain an accurate arrears register and produce regular reports on overdue accounts for senior management.
- Manage the collections process from first contact through to resolution, agreeing repayment plans with Senior Management.
- Escalate cases to enforcement where necessary, instructing solicitors and LPA receivers and managing the process through to recovery.
- General Operations
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on the CRM across all live cases.
- Ensure certified copies of all loan documentation are held and filed correctly in accordance with lender requirements.
- Support the underwriting team with post-completion monitoring and compliance tasks.

- Experience in a loan operations, case management or collections role within bridging, property finance or specialist lending.
- Solid understanding of secured lending, first-charge mortgages and the legal completion process.
- Familiarity with Land Registry processes, legal undertakings and charge registration.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple live cases simultaneously and hit tight deadlines.
- Confident communicator - comfortable dealing directly with borrowers, solicitors, brokers and receivers.
- Attention to detail in reviewing legal documentation and financial reconciliations.
