My client is a leading consultancy heavily investing in the Restructuring and Turnaround Team and offers an exciting opportunity to work within dynamic, flexible, fast-moving environments and is the first line of response to opportunities arising from operational underperformance and/or financial pressure.

The Restructuring and Turnaround Team operates nationally and is deeply embedded within the rapidly growing Deal Advisory business as part of the highly successful Corporate Finance team. Our multi-capability group delivers a broad spectrum of corporate advisory work, serving regional and large corporate clients across the UK. This powerful combination enables us to deliver a bespoke, solutions-led approach to help companies preserve value and navigate back to a path of sustainable growth.

We proactively support businesses through the whole economic cycle. By combining this specialist expertise with the depth and breadth of functional and sector capabilities, we are able to help our clients to rise to whatever challenges they might face during times of economic uncertainty, supporting them with:

  • Internal and external stakeholder stabilisation and management
  • Short-term liquidity management
  • Business plan assessment, challenge and analysis
  • Identification and evaluation of options
  • Financing strategies
  • Business disposals or managed exits
  • Cash & working capital management
  • Cost reduction and performance improvement
  • Economic profitability assessments
  • Development of integrated financial and operational turnaround plans

The key attributes of an Associate Director within the Restructuring and Turnaround Team will ideally include:

  • An analytical mindset with strong commercial and business acumen
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to influence and work alongside senior stakeholders including PE firms, lenders, corporates and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience in leading multi-work stream advisory projects (financial restructuring, stakeholder advisory, turnaround, liquidity and business review disciplines)
  • An existing professional network of client relationships across corporates, lenders, private equity and/or other stakeholders
  • Creativity with a willingness to try new and different approaches – our clients often have multiple issues that may not be what we initially expect.
  • Effective team management, coaching, training and mentoring skills, with a desire to get the best out of diverse talent both on and off client engagements
