What the job involves:
- Assist in first response to breakdowns to an array of plant, equipment and facilities ranging from hand tools and painting equipment to compressors, heating and ventilation systems and robotic welding cells, whilst keeping within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure plant, equipment and facilities comply with and are maintained to relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations, through own actions, liaising and supporting external contractors.
- Carry out unsupervised reactive maintenance repairs, fault finding, testing to a wide range of services, helping to keep downtime to a minimum.
- Ensure departmental procedures are adhered to and maintained.
- When required assist with maintaining the company plant register and all other test and monitoring records (i.e. LEV, COSHH, lifting equipment, PAT, Legionella etc).
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in a safe manner.
- Produce and maintain risk assessments as required.
