A leading international law firm is seeking a Structured Finance / Derivatives Associate to join its London Capital Markets practice.
The team advises on a broad range of UK and international transactions, including structured finance, cash and synthetic securitisations, derivatives, repackagings and structured products.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level associate to join a growing team with strong international reach, advising leading financial institutions, asset managers and corporates on complex cross-border financing transactions.
- What You’ll Do
- Assist in advising clients on securitised derivatives and synthetic securitisation transactions.
- Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation under the supervision of senior lawyers.
- Support structured finance transactions including repackagings and structured products.
- Conduct legal research and due diligence on complex financing matters.
- Liaise directly with clients, counterparties and advisers to support transaction execution.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and business development initiatives within the team.
About You
- England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent common law qualification).
- NQ–3 years’ PQE with experience in structured finance, securitisation, derivatives or debt capital markets.
- Background gained at a recognised international law firm or relevant in‑house legal team.
- Experience with securitised derivatives or synthetic securitisation is advantageous.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting skills.
- Commercially minded with strong organisational and communication abilities.
