We are instructed by one of the UK’s most prestigious law firms to help grow their award-winning corporate tax team. They are seeking a bright and ambitious senior Corporate Tax Associate (7+ PQE) to join their market-leading London practice. Consistently ranked for Corporate Tax in Chambers UK, Europe, and Global, this is an exceptional opportunity to work at the very top of the profession.

This is a growth hire, reflecting sustained client demand and global deal flow. The team operates at the heart of the firm’s most significant transactions and disputes, advising on complex and often cutting-edge matters for a blue-chip, global client base that includes FTSE 100 companies, financial institutions, private equity houses, sovereign wealth funds, and multinational corporates. Associates here work on matters that shape markets and regulatory landscapes, with true cross-border complexity and real strategic impact.

Work Includes:

  • Corporate & Private Capital: Advising on the tax aspects of complex public and private M&A, IPOs, reorganisations, demergers, joint ventures, and private capital deals
  • Finance & Restructuring: Structuring innovative tax solutions for equity and debt financings, distressed asset workouts, and market-sensitive refinancing
  • Real Estate: Structuring investments and transactions for institutional investors, funds, and developers across commercial and mixed-use portfolios

Benefits:

  • Access to top-tier clients and transactions you won’t find outside a handful of elite firms — matters that are high-profile, high-value, and often high-stakes
  • A practice that is fully integrated into global deal teams, offering exposure to cross-practice and international collaboration from day one
  • A genuinely collaborative and intellectually curious team culture, with open access to partners, mentorship, and meaningful development
  • Compensation that rivals the US firms, with a highly competitive bonus structure kicking in at 1750 billable hours
  • Strategic growth trajectory; this is not a replacement hire, but a deliberate investment in the next generation of tax leaders

Criteria:

  • England & Wales qualified, with 7+ years’ PQE gained at a top corporate tax practice
  • Broad experience across advisory, transactional, or disputes-related tax work, ideally in complex or multi-jurisdictional contexts
  • A sharp technical mind paired with a commercial instinct, and a drive to deliver best-in-class client service
  • The ability to thrive in a high-performance but team-oriented environment — intellectual rigour with a collaborative approach
