Senior Associate - Restructuring & Insovlency

A prestigious US law firm, renowned for its expertise in complex international corporate restructurings, is seeking a talented and ambitious Associate to join its dynamic Restructuring & Insolvency team in the City of London. About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will advise on a broad spectrum of restructuring and insolvency matters, with a focus on:

• Complex Cross-Border Restructurings: Advising on international restructuring and insolvency proceedings, including Chapter 11, administration, and liquidation.
• Special Situations: Providing strategic advice on distressed debt transactions, turnaround strategies, and other special situations.
• Schemes of Arrangement: Demonstrating experience in advising on and implementing Schemes of Arrangement.
• Creditor & Debtor Advisory: Representing a diverse range of stakeholders, including creditors, debtors, and insolvency practitioners.
• Transactional Restructuring: Advising on the restructuring aspects of M&A and other corporate transactions.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Assisting with restructuring-related litigation and dispute resolution.

About You:

• Qualified lawyer with ideally between 2-5 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency from a leading law firm.
• Proven experience in special situations and ideally, Schemes of Arrangement.
• Strong understanding of cross-border insolvency principles and procedures.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills.
• Ambition and drive to progress rapidly within a leading international law firm.
