A prestigious US law firm, renowned for its expertise in complex international corporate restructurings, is seeking a talented and ambitious Associate to join its dynamic Restructuring & Insolvency team in the City of London. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile, cross-border matters, with unparalleled career progression and a leading Cravath pay scale.
About the Role:
- Complex Cross-Border Restructurings: Advising on international restructuring and insolvency proceedings, including Chapter 11, administration, and liquidation.
- Special Situations: Providing strategic advice on distressed debt transactions, turnaround strategies, and other special situations.
- Schemes of Arrangement: Demonstrating experience in advising on and implementing Schemes of Arrangement.
- Creditor & Debtor Advisory: Representing a diverse range of stakeholders, including creditors, debtors, and insolvency practitioners.
- Transactional Restructuring: Advising on the restructuring aspects of M&A and other corporate transactions.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Assisting with restructuring-related litigation and dispute resolution.
About You:
- Qualified lawyer with ideally between 2-5 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency from a leading law firm.
- Proven experience in special situations and ideally, Schemes of Arrangement.
- Strong understanding of cross-border insolvency principles and procedures.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills.
- Ambition and drive to progress rapidly within a leading international law firm.
