Opportunity to Lead & Shape a Growing Practice
A leading law firm consistently recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners rankings, is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Associate to join our expanding Derivatives & Structured Finance team. This is a unique opportunity for a talented lawyer with 3-6 years of post-qualification experience to take a leading role and directly contribute to the growth of a dynamic practice, with a clear and accelerated pathway to partnership.
About the Role:
You will be a key member of our team, advising clients on a wide range of complex derivatives and structured finance transactions, with a particular focus on:
- Retail Structured Products: Designing, documenting, and advising on structured products tailored for the retail market, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Repackagings: Structuring and executing repackaging transactions, including the creation of bespoke securities.
- Derivatives in Structured Finance & Lending: Utilising derivatives as part of complex structured finance and lending transactions, including interest rate and currency swaps, and credit derivatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Navigating and advising on relevant regulatory regimes, including MIFID II, PRIIPs, and other applicable regulations.
- Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing expert advice and strategic solutions.
- Business Development: Actively contributing to the growth of the practice through business development initiatives.
- Mentoring & Supervision: Providing guidance and supervision to junior team members.
About You:
- 3-6 years of PQE in Derivatives & Structured Finance from a reputable law firm.
- Proven experience in advising on retail structured products, repackagings, and derivatives as part of structured finance and lending transactions.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to business development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Ambition and drive to progress to partnership.
