A leading US law firm is looking to hire a senior associate into its London-based Competition Litigation team, as it continues to expand its European disputes platform on the back of sustained growth and increasing workflow.
This is a highly selective search targeting lawyers capable of operating within a lean, high-performing disputes practice with significant partner exposure and real responsibility from day one.
The Opportunity
You will work across a broad range of complex, high-value contentious competition matters, including cartel damages claims, follow-on litigation, collective actions, abuse of dominance disputes, behavioural investigations and wider contentious antitrust work. The team is consistently involved in some of the most high-profile and innovative competition litigation mandates in the market.
The Team
The competition litigation practice sits within the firm's broader disputes and antitrust offering and operates with a lean associate structure. The culture is collaborative but demanding, with a strong emphasis on substantive litigation experience, courtroom exposure and early responsibility. The team has a clear preference for developing and promoting talent internally, with associates progressing toward partnership over time.
Why This Role Stands Out
A genuine platform for senior associates seeking market-leading competition litigation work, direct partner access and a clear path to partnership. The team's reputation in the competition litigation market is well established, and the search is driven by real expansion and increased workflow rather than attrition.
Candidate Profile
England and Wales qualified, 6 to 8 PQE. Candidates should have trained and retained at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle or elite US or peer litigation platform. A strong contentious competition background is essential, and candidates should be operating at or close to senior associate level, comfortable running matters and supervising junior colleagues. Commercial litigators with meaningful competition litigation exposure may also be considered.
