This is a volunteer opportunity at the GET Free Books shop, where all books have been diverted from landfill and pulping and are offered to the public for free. The aim is to reduce waste and give these books a second life by sharing them with the community. The shop is run by the charity Global Educational Trust (GET) – (1144969 – SC046627).

Role

As a volunteer in the shop your role would include:

  • Creating a warm and welcoming shop atmosphere
  • Keeping the shop clean and tidy
  • Arranging the books and restocking the shelves
  • Explaining the free books concept to customers
  • Explain the aims of the GET charity
  • Receive book donations from customers
  • Assist customers in located particular types of books
