The Role
The Building Host plays a key role in delivering a welcoming, efficient, and well-managed environment for customers, visitors, and guests. This multifaceted role supports day-to-day operations, builds customer relationships through 1-to-1 catch-ups, contributes to a connected community, conducts regular building walk-throughs, manages meeting rooms (including income tracking), oversees stock levels, and provides administrative support to the Property team using a variety of digital tools.
Salary: Up to £30,500 per annum
The Team
We have three FLEX workspace locations in MediaCity, each managed by one coordinator per building. The role requires working independently within your own area, while also being a team player across various projects, networking and community events.
Location: Flexibility required, including some evening and weekend shifts based on building or customer needs. Covering other FLEX locations will be required during staff absence/holidays as part of a support-cover role.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Customer Experience & Services
- Greet and assist customers, visitors, and contractors with professionalism and positivity.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries, service requests, and feedback.
- Conduct regular 1-to-1 catch-ups with customers to build rapport and gather insights.
- Coordinate deliveries, service providers, and customer requests.
- Provide helpful information about amenities, services, and the local area.
- Contribute to a consistently welcoming and professional atmosphere throughout the building.
- Community Engagement
- Support community-focused initiatives and help foster a connected customer environment.
- Assist in planning and delivering events, meetups, and programs that enhance the customer experience.
- Help onboard new customers and make introductions where appropriate.
- Act as a point of contact for community-related feedback and engagement ideas.
- Building Walks & Operational Support
- Conduct routine building walk-throughs to assess safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate teams.
- Support adherence to building policies and procedures.
- Share observations and suggestions with management to support continuous improvement.
- Meeting Room & Inventory Management
- Oversee setup, cleanliness, and smooth operation of meeting rooms and shared areas.
- Monitor meeting room usage and track associated income, providing reports to management.
- Ensure meeting rooms are reset between bookings and stocked appropriately.
- Manage stock levels for building supplies and refreshments, placing timely orders and tracking inventory.
- Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Property team using a range of digital tools and platforms.
- Assist with data entry, scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting tasks.
- Use property management systems, spreadsheets, and internal platforms to log information and updates.
- Help prepare documents, notices, or communications as needed by the Property team.
- Support internal coordination between teams to ensure smooth building operations.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in a customer-focused or operational support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
