This leading award-winning landscaping contractor client is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Gardener to join the team full-time working on a large site in leafy Richmond. As the successful candidate you will have a good level of horticultural knowledge for the ongoing care and maintenance of beautifully designed, high-end private site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular maintenance tasks including pruning, weeding, feeding, seasonal planting, and pest/disease control
- Use and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- Ensure all works are conducted safely and respectfully
- Work collaboratively and professionally with team members
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in garden maintenance (estates preferred)
- Good plant knowledge and strong horticultural skills
- Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Able to work well independently and as part of a small team
- Good communication
- Physically fit and prepared to work in all weather
- UK driving license preferred (not essential)
