Our client is a leading landscaping company, based in Central London - they are looking for a skilled Assistant Gardener and Senior Level Gardener.
As the successful candidate you will work in the gardens of private individuals. In your horticultural role, you will be expected to deal with landscaping and paperwork. Training will be provided. You will be expected to ensure that colleagues adhere to the highest standards, organise your colleagues' movements, order materials and liaise with clients. After a trial period, you will be expected to deal directly with clients.
Applicants should have:
- Excellent horticultural knowledge, from plant identification to pest identification and from pruning techniques to plant care.
- Experience in hard landscaping and carpentry – training will be provided.
- Exceptional attention to detail, be creative and have the highest standards of horticultural practice and tidiness.
- Be able to lead a team and motivate staff.
- Be punctual, tidy in appearance and have good common sense.
- Be able to communicate clearly with clients and staff and keep records (fluent in written English).
- A full clean UK driving license - for Senior level.
Working hours: 7am/8am OR 4pm/5pm - Monday to Friday.
Use of a company van, uniform plus mobile phone allowance. Annual bonus subject to company financial performance. Excellent training and solid long-term prospects.
