How to prepare for a job interview at Bubbles Swim School

✨Know Your Stuff

Make sure you’re familiar with the Swim England award criteria and the specific levels you’ll be teaching. Brush up on your knowledge of the Discovery Ducklings and Duckling levels, as well as how to assess swimmers' abilities. This will show that you’re not just qualified, but also genuinely passionate about teaching.

✨Show Your Enthusiasm

During the interview, let your energetic and enthusiastic teaching style shine through. Share examples of how you've created engaging lessons in the past, and don’t hesitate to demonstrate your positive reinforcement techniques. This will help the interviewers envision you in action with the kids.

✨Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect questions about how you would handle various situations, like a child who is nervous about swimming or how you would assess a swimmer's progress. Think of specific examples from your experience that highlight your patient and supportive approach. This will showcase your ability to create a safe and motivating environment.

✨Communicate Clearly

Strong communication skills are essential for this role, especially when providing feedback to parents. Practice articulating your thoughts clearly and confidently. You might even want to prepare a brief mock feedback session to demonstrate how you would communicate progress and areas for improvement to both swimmers and their parents.
