We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented individual to join our passionate and expanding team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing essential clerical and administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You will receive training and mentorship throughout your apprenticeship, helping you to develop a wide range of skills in business administration.
Full-time Hybrid (Minimum of 3 days a week at our Retford location)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining effective communication through phone etiquette, responding to enquiries and directing calls appropriately
- Being the first point of contact for visitors to the office, providing a welcoming, efficient reception service (when onsite)
- Providing refreshments to visitors when required
- Handling data entry tasks into Xero Accounting Software with accuracy and attention to detail
- Utilising Google Suite for document creation and spreadsheets
- Managing office supplies and ensuring the office environment is well-organised
- Collaborating with other departments to facilitate smooth operations within the organisation
- Working with suppliers to prepare quotations for clients
- Using Adobe InDesign to create various documents
- Placing purchase orders for all areas of the business
- Ensuring print orders are placed on-time to meet deadlines
- Creating and processing customer invoices
- Managing the office Trello boards
Minimum Requirements
- High levels of attention to detail with a focus on data entry and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with general office procedures and administrative practices
- Experience of or willingness to learn administrative skills in a professional office
- Core GCSEs in Maths and English
