Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Full Time Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic team. As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a vital role in efficiently handling and organising incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping and Receiving:
Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, verifying their contents against purchase orders or delivery documents. Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and proper packaging to prevent damage during transportation. - Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic inventory systems or manual tracking. Conduct regular stock counts, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues promptly. - Order Fulfilment:
Pick, pack, and prepare orders according to customer specifications and shipping requirements. Ensure that all products are appropriately labelled and ready for timely dispatch. - Equipment Operation:
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently. Adhere to equipment maintenance schedules and report any malfunctions promptly. - Quality Control:
Inspect products for defects or damages and report any issues to supervisors. Ensure that all goods meet quality standards before dispatching or storing. - Warehouse Organisation:
Organise products systematically in the warehouse to optimise space utilisation and facilitate easy access. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, following standard safety practices to prevent accidents. - Safety Compliance:
Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment. Report any potential hazards or incidents immediately to supervisors. - Documentation:
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including shipping manifests, invoices, and inventory reports. Ensure that all records are well-organised and easily accessible for auditing purposes. - Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks effectively. Communicate any operational issues, delays, or challenges promptly. - Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, such as optimising storage methods, reducing handling time, or enhancing overall efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Operator or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet pump-trucks.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and willingness to follow proper safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in warehouse operations or forklift operation.
- Experience with material handling equipment and automated warehouse systems.
- Familiarity with industry-specific safety regulations.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday – Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
