Are you a M&E Construction Manager / Site Manager with a strong background working on new build residential projects? Would a 15-month contract working on a major development in London be of interest?

We’re working with an established and growing M&E Contractor whose turnover is £60M. We need to find a Mechanical Construction Manager / Site Manager to coordinate/manage testing and commissioning on apartments across multiple floors and blocks in a development.

Candidates need to be well versed in both Electrical & Mechanical packages and must have previously worked on M&E packages of over £2.5M.

Responsibilities

• Long term freelance work or long term career for PAYE staff
• CIS Method of payment or competitive salary
• Coordinate testing and commissioning part with all M&E contractors including electrical, mechanical, ventilation, lift and sprinkler.
• Manage and coordinate testing and commissioning
• Coordinate and assist technical team to update testing certificates in line with O&M manual portal.
• Making sure installations are to drawings
• Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities
• Day to day management of site construction activities including direct labour and sub-contractors whilst communicating and coordinating key project duties.
• Monitoring of the overall progress of works against the agreed construction programme.
• Working with the client and own team in managing day to day challenges
• Completing site progress reports and issuing to the Project / Contracts Manager.
• Liaising with the commercial team to coordinate changes/variations
• Maintaining accurate on-site records of all goods received on a weekly basis ensuring that these are correctly processed.

Requirements

• Mechanical background
• CSCS
• SMSTS
• Minimum 2 years experience as Mechanical Construction Manager for a residential project.
