The Senior Procurement Consultant will support the delivery of procurement and supply chain services across complex rail infrastructure programmes. You'll work closely with clients to develop procurement strategies, manage tender processes and contribute to collaborative procurement models that improve project outcomes. The team works across different stages of the project lifecycle, from early-stage planning through to delivery and contract management, with increasing opportunities across North America.

  • Develop and deliver procurement strategies and route-to-market options for complex rail programmes
  • Lead end-to-end procurement exercises, from market engagement through tender evaluation, negotiation and contract award
  • Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and governance frameworks
  • Identify and realise procurement efficiencies across contractor selection, scope definition and delivery models
  • Manage supplier and contract performance post-award
  • Produce high-quality procurement documentation and recommendations

Minimum 5 years' direct experience in rail infrastructure procurement. Proven track record leading or supporting major procurement exercises on rail programmes. Client-facing procurement delivery experience – working directly for clients, not just on the owner/consultant side. Working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and its application to rail procurement. Ability to identify and deliver procurement improvements and efficiencies. Commercial awareness and ability to balance cost, risk, schedule and value. Experience of collaborative contracting models or integrated delivery approaches in rail.
