Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic commercial and contractual support
- Lead pre‑ and post‑contract duties across various models
- Collaborate with clients and contractors to drive performance
- Ensure compliance with governance procedures
- Share best practices and support continuous improvement
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth
- Drive strategic initiatives that align with business objectives
- Engage with stakeholders at executive level to build strong relationships
- Oversee governance and risk management across multiple projects
- Deliver accurate performance and financial reporting to support decision‑making
- Champion innovation and implement best practice solutions
- Represent BTTC at industry forums and contribute to thought leadership
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree: Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Membership: MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or MCICES (Member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors), or actively working towards accreditation.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and NEC contract frameworks.
- Leadership: Proven line management experience, including team development and performance management.
- Coaching & Development: Demonstrated ability and desire to coach, mentor, and upskill team members.
- Project Delivery: Experience managing complex infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
