The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.
We are recruiting two experienced Site / Setting Out Engineers to support a prestigious, high-spec project at Wimbledon Tennis Club. The project includes complex external works, roof terraces, podium layouts, structural finishes, paving and localised groundworks. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically demanding and high-profile development where accuracy, quality and proactive engineering input will be essential.
The role
- Take responsibility for setting out and quality control across your allocated works, working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to identify technical issues before they affect delivery.
- Precision setting out for paving, structural finishes, podium areas and associated external works.
- Interpreting and reviewing structural and construction drawings.
- Identifying design discrepancies and engineering clashes at an early stage.
- Raising and managing RFIs with the relevant project stakeholders.
- Completing site surveys, checks and as-built records.
- Taking ownership of on-site quality control and inspection processes.
- Maintaining accurate engineering records and supporting project documentation.
- Liaising directly with the Project Manager and wider delivery team.
- Ensuring works are completed accurately and in accordance with project specifications.
About you
This role would suit a confident and technically capable engineer who is comfortable working within a fast-moving and demanding site environment. You should have:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer.
- Strong setting-out experience across external works, paving, podiums, structural finishes or groundworks.
- The ability to confidently interpret technical and structural drawings.
- Experience raising RFIs and resolving design or engineering clashes.
- An HNC or similar qualification in Civil Engineering is preferred.
