BTG has recently launched its own in-house PR and External Communications function as part of its growth. To ensure that the media is editorially-led, you will be part of this team. The firm has always had a strong track record of delivering innovative external communication through market-leading commentary and unique data. In this newly-created videographer role, you will help develop the insight and data-led approach to support the brand, business development and digital communication with potential and existing clients. If you are successful in this role, you will be able to help support the growth of the firm, but also yourself as a videographer who realises the link between insightful communication, brand identity and business impact. Success will be seen as developing editorially-engaging ideas of your own, interpreting existing external communications into video and podcast and creating content that helps deliver the external communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your own workload within BTG
- Be very active in the creative content creation process from ideation to delivery
- Work closely with the PR and External Communications team across BTG to implement the key strategic external communications themes
- Offer ideas to better communicate themes and position spokespeople through video, animation and podcast production
- Deliver content planning and work with digital marketing and social media teams to make the most of PR and communications material generated
- Suggest new learning and development areas and ways to evolve the media output of BTG
- Deliver ideas on how to use data to develop video and animation
Skills and Experience:
- Skilled in end-to-end production and editing of media, including video and podcasts with a willingness to develop animation skills
- An ability to demonstrate how you have and will communicate key messages through video and podcasts
- Understanding of how content plans and multi-channel content will maximise usage of media across multiple platforms
- Excellent people skills that can be developed to manage challenges and solve problems
- Stakeholder and time management to meet deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across the team and within BTG as necessary
- Creativity to develop and understand how partner and director insight can be communicated in a clear and relevant manner for target audiences
- Able to work independently and be highly organised
- Able to manage conflicting priorities and timescales alongside delegating tasks when necessary
- Understanding of capacity restraints and priorities for strategically important projects
