Broad Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Steward to own the quality, governance, and reliability of commercial master data across the enterprise. This role reflects executive level recognition that strong data quality and governance are critical to global business success. The position is UK based to ensure close collaboration with our European teams while supporting both US and EU data requirements. Although the role will initially focus primarily on US based Veeva CRM data, the scope is global by design and will expand as our enterprise data ecosystem matures. You will leverage Master Data Management (MDM) tools such as Syncari to govern data flows, resolve data quality issues, and establish durable governance processes that scale with business growth. This is an ongoing data governance role, not a one-time cleanup effort.
Global Data Stewardship & Governance
- Act as the global Data Steward for commercial master data, including Accounts, HCPs, HCOs, and hierarchies
- Own and enforce data quality standards across regions, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability
- Align data governance practices with regional regulatory, privacy, and business requirements
- Establish and document data governance processes and SOPs
Veeva CRM Data Ownership (Must Have)
- Serve as the primary Data Steward for Veeva CRM, overseeing customer mapping, hierarchy management, and data accuracy
- Govern the full lifecycle of Veeva CRM data, ensuring alignment with internal standards and compliance requirements
- Monitor and support both US and European Veeva configurations, ensuring visibility into regional differences and shared standards
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, including duplicates, incorrect mappings, missing attributes, and legacy account cleanup
- Partner with business stakeholders to ensure Veeva data reliably supports sales execution, reporting, and analytics
Master Data Management & Integration Oversight
- Use MDM tools (e.g., Syncari) to govern data synchronization between Veeva CRM and downstream systems
- Define and enforce source-of-truth and data authority rules
- Prevent poor-quality data from propagating across the enterprise
- Perform root-cause analysis when data issues surface in reporting or analytics
Data Quality Monitoring & Analytics Enablement
- Conduct data profiling, audits, and reconciliation to ensure analytics and reporting data is trusted
- Track, measure, and report on data quality metrics, demonstrating continuous improvement
- Collaborate with BI, Analytics, IT, and Sales Operations teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve upstream processes
Role Evolution & Enterprise Scope
- Provide data quality oversight for SAP master data as scope expands
- Help assess and validate newly consolidated enterprise data within Snowflake as the organization’s data platforms mature.
- Contribute to the long-term enterprise data governance strategy beyond CRM
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
- Veeva CRM experience is required (Account, Address, Affiliation, hierarchy management)
- 3–5+ years of experience in Data Stewardship, Data Governance, or Master Data Management
- Strong experience managing CRM data, preferably in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a regulated industry
- Hands-on experience with MDM or data integration tools (Syncari preferred, alternatives acceptable)
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of data quality frameworks and governance principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
- Experience supporting commercial or sales analytics use cases
- Familiarity with healthcare master data domains (HCP, HCO)
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g. Postgres SQL)
- Proficient in SQL (query writing, data extraction, troubleshooting)
- Exposure to SAP master data
- Familiarity with Snowflake or enterprise analytics platforms
- Experience with data migrations, platform consolidations, or AI/rules-based matching and deduplication.
