What Our Client Is Looking For

To succeed as a Finance Assistant, you will need:
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in accuracy
- A sound understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits & credits, accruals, reconciliations)
- Strong Excel capability (VLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, filters, pivot tables)
- Confidence to ask questions and provide constructive challenge
- A proactive, can-do mindset
Development & Progression
Our client is committed to developing their Finance Assistants. This role offers:
- Support for ACCA or CIMA studies
- Exposure to complex finance and billing activity
- Clear scope, over time, to move into management accounting or a more analytical finance role as the team evolves
This makes the Finance Assistant position ideal for someone who sees this as more than just a job.
Package & Working Pattern
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)
Hybrid working (typically 3 days office / 2 days home, with more office presence during onboarding)
Strong benefits package including generous holiday allowance
A growing finance function moving away from volume processing toward value-add analysis
