Interim Management Accountant

12-Month FTC | Hybrid (Lincoln-based) | Up to £45,000

If you're a hands-on Management Accountant who enjoys owning the numbers, working closely with a team, and wants a role that's steady, well-run, and genuinely appreciated — this could be a great fit.

We're working with a long-established, financially secure organisation that's investing heavily in its systems and future growth. With senior finance leadership focused on a major ERP implementation, they now need a capable Management Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day and keep everything running smoothly.

This is not a “change for the sake of change” role. It's about doing the fundamentals properly and being trusted to get on with it.

Why This Role Will Appeal

  • Clear ownership of management accounts
  • A stable business with strong cashflow
  • Supportive, down-to-earth finance team
  • Exposure to a major ERP project (without owning it)
  • A genuine opportunity to be involved in a new commercial initiative
  • You'll be busy, but not burnt out.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take responsibility for:

  • Monthly management accounts
  • Journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Excel-based board and KPI reporting
  • VAT returns
  • Supporting finance activity during the ERP implementation
  • Assisting with a new growth initiative alongside senior stakeholders

Who This Role Is For

This role will suit you if:

  • You're part-qualified or QBE
  • You've owned management accounts end-to-end
  • You're strong in Excel and comfortable working outside the system
  • You enjoy being part of a team and getting stuck in

It's unlikely to suit you if:

  • You're looking for a senior leadership or transformation role
  • You dislike Excel-heavy work
  • You prefer fully remote roles only
  • You're unwilling to be flexible in a small, collaborative team

Working Pattern

  • Hybrid working
  • Regular time in the Lincoln office for collaboration and meetings
  • Flexibility around home working once established

Package

  • 12-month fixed-term contract
  • Salary up to £45,000
  • 24 days holiday + bank holidays
  • 5% matched pension
  • Private health scheme
  • Company-funded social events
