Are you an experienced purchasing leader with strong product knowledge across tools, machinery, workshop equipment, automotive, DIY or industrial products? This is a rare opportunity to join a long-established, highly successful product-led business that supplies a wide range of finished goods into retail, trade, industrial, automotive and export markets.
The business is looking for a commercially minded Purchasing Manager or Purchasing Director who can take ownership of product sourcing, supplier relationships, stock availability, pricing and range development. You will work closely with the directors and have genuine influence over what products are brought to market, how they are sourced and how the range evolves. This is not an indirect procurement role. You must understand physical products, finished goods and direct imports. Experience sourcing from China and the Far East is essential.
The role will involve:
- Leading and developing a purchasing / buying team.
- Sourcing finished goods from China, the Far East and Europe.
