We are seeking an experienced Associate Director Building Surveying to join our expanding London team. The successful candidate will lead on a wide range of surveying projects, providing advice on property and construction matters, and mentoring graduate team members. This is an opportunity to work within a fast‑moving, dynamic consultancy environment where professionalism, technical excellence, and client care are at the heart of everything we do.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering high‑quality professional surveying services.
  • Collaborating with external clients, third-party consultants, and internal colleagues within the in-house multi-disciplinary departments.
  • Undertaking site inspections, building surveys, and producing Technical Due Diligence and defect analysis reports, schedules of condition, and PPM schedules.
  • Advising and developing project briefs and budget costs for refurbishment works.
  • Preparing specifications, analysing tenders, contract administration duties, design team coordination and statutory regulation compliance.
  • Undertaking development monitoring services for funders, advising, and reporting on all aspects of a construction project throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Undertaking reinstatement cost assessments for insurance purposes.
  • Providing advice on dilapidations matters to both landlords and tenants, including preparation of dilapidations assessments/exit strategies and negotiating claims.
  • Dealing with party wall matters for both building and adjoining owners.
