Job Purpose:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Junior Accounts Receivable Executive. This is a great opportunity for someone with some credit control or finance admin experience (from a few months to two years) who is keen to build a career in credit control. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day management of customer accounts, helping to ensure timely payments, and learning from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in chasing outstanding payments via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner
- Monitor customer accounts and flag overdue invoices to the Senior Credit Controller
- Help investigate basic account or payment queries and pass on more complex issues for further support
- Keep accurate notes and update internal systems with payment status and communications
- Check sales ledger entries for accuracy and help identify any discrepancies
- Support the credit control team with administrative tasks and reporting
- Help prepare weekly and monthly reports for team use and management review
- Work closely with colleagues across the finance team to ensure smooth operations
- Follow company processes and compliance guidelines in all credit control activities

- Basic understanding of finance or accounting principles is helpful
- Familiarity with Excel (e.g., working with spreadsheets, entering data, basic formulas)
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal – with a professional manner
- Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and a willingness to learn
- A team player with a positive attitude and an interest in developing within credit control
- Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications (e.g., CICM or AAT, if desired)
