The Archie Foundation is a leading Scottish charity supporting babies, children, and families across the North of Scotland when they need it most. Working closely with NHS partners and local communities, the charity provides practical, emotional, and financial support to improve experiences in hospital and beyond.

The organisation is now seeking a Fundraising and Engagement Officer to join its Tayside Office team. This is a key community-facing role responsible for delivering fundraising activity, building strong supporter relationships, and raising awareness of The Archie Foundation’s work across the region.

This role will play a central role in supporting community fundraising initiatives, events, and campaigns, ensuring fundraising targets are met while delivering an excellent experience for donors, volunteers, schools, and community groups. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with supporters, responding to enquiries, and providing guidance and resources to help individuals and groups maximise their fundraising efforts.

A key aspect of the role includes working with schools through programmes such as the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI), supporting pupils and teachers throughout their fundraising and learning journey, and helping to build long‑term relationships with educational partners across the region. You will also support the accurate processing, recording, and reconciliation of donations, ensuring all supporters receive timely and meaningful acknowledgement of their contributions. Working with CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge), you will help maintain high‑quality data and contribute to effective stewardship and reporting.

Alongside fundraising activity, you will play an important role in raising awareness of The Archie Foundation by creating engaging content for social media and digital platforms, sharing impact stories, and representing the charity at community events, schools, networking groups, and public speaking opportunities. Working with families, NHS staff, and colleagues, you will help capture and share meaningful stories that demonstrate the difference Archie makes every day.

The successful candidate will be an energetic, highly organised, and personable individual with experience or an interest in fundraising, have strong community engagement skills, or a background in a customer‑facing role. You will be confident building relationships, managing multiple priorities, and working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a proactive, can‑do attitude are essential.

This is a rewarding and varied role for someone who is passionate about community engagement and motivated by making a real difference to the lives of children and families. This role is subject to a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check, in line with The Archie Foundation’s commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable families.
