As a Security, Identity & Access Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of secure access controls across complex cloud platforms, ensuring services remain resilient, compliant, and secure. This is a hands‑on leadership role, combining technical expertise with team leadership to shape how identity and privileged access is managed at scale. This role requires 3 days in office & can be based in either Manchester or Ipswich SC Clearance eligibility is required What you’ll be doing * Lead the delivery of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) across Network Cloud * Provide day‑to‑day leadership to a small team of engineers while remaining hands‑on technically * Design and implement secure access controls across platforms (Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes) * Own and operate privileged access solutions (e.g. CyberArk) * Enforce least privilege, RBAC, and secure authentication (SSO, MFA) * Drive automation of account lifecycle management using tooling and pipelines * Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. TSA) * Support audit and risk management activities, including resolving findings * Collaborate with engineering, security, and vendor teams to improve secure‑by‑design practices Essential Skills / Experience * Proven ability to lead delivery and support a technical team * Strong experience in IAM and/or PAM (e.g. CyberArk) * Hands‑on experience with Linux systems and access controls * Experience working in cloud or large‑scale infrastructure environments * Understanding of security standards, risk, and compliance frameworks * Experience in automation and scripting (e.g. Python, Terraform, Ansible) * SC Clearance eligibility Desirable Skills / Experience * Experience in Network Cloud or telecoms environments * Knowledge of TSA or regulated infrastructure environments * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins) * Exposure to network security or DDoS platforms Our Package * On target 10% on target bonus * BT Pension scheme, minimum 5% Employee contribution, BT contribution 10% * From January 2025, equal family leave: receive 18 weeks at full pay, 8 weeks at half pay and 26 weeks at the statutory rate.
