About the role
Your work will directly underpin services that matter—supporting critical national infrastructure and revenue-generating customer platforms—making a tangible impact on reliability, availability, and the speed at which new services can be delivered. From day one, you’ll influence network stability, drive service excellence, and enable seamless integration with platforms in a high-stakes, high-impact environment. The role will suit someone with strong experience working with Cisco networks technologies and enjoys solution design, technical decision-making, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver real impact.
This job role can be based in Ipswich, London, Cheltenham or Manchester. Due to security requirements, this role requires you to be located on site during your working hours. Mon-Fri 37.5. DV Security Clearance is required. Must have lived in UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Architecting and delivering IP network solutions and the associated management platforms
- Undertake the implementation of new and enhanced network technology
- Manage the installation, testing, and setup of new network hardware both physical and virtual (firewalls, routers, switching, monitoring) hardware and software and associated systems support
- Enhancing network security, resilience, and performance at scale
- Deliver the required documentation, knowledge transfer and training to successfully land new solutions into the support organisation

Desirable Skills / Experience:
- Proven ability to lead the full lifecycle—design, build, commissioning, and live operations—of complex network and infrastructure systems, including Routing, Switching and Firewall platforms
- Experience operating within high-availability, mission-critical environments where resilience, uptime, and security are non-negotiable.
- Cisco CCNP (R&S and/or Security) Certified or equivalent experience
- In-depth experience in installing, configuring and managing Cisco ISE and CUCM and licence management with Cisco SSM
