This is an early‐career opportunity to build a foundation in Contact Centre and Cloud Solutions Design within BT Business. The role is designed for individuals who are developing their technical and commercial capability and want hands‐on exposure to how contact centre solutions are shaped, priced, and proposed for real customers. You’ll join a supportive solutions design team where training, structure, and coaching are built in, giving you the opportunity to grow your skills across contact centre technologies while learning the commercial side of solutions design. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress into more senior solutions design, specialist, or leadership roles over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Support sales specialists by reviewing Statements of Requirement and helping to clarify customer contact centre needs, priorities, and success criteria.
- Assist with the design & pricing of standard cloud contact centre solutions using BT’s CCaaS and UCaaS portfolio, including platforms such as Genesys, Five9, Webex Contact Centre, RingCX, and Anywhere365.
- Work closely with experienced solution designers, internal technical teams, and vendors to build accurate and compliant solutions.
- Develop customer‐facing documentation such as solution summaries, pricing outputs, and proposal content, with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Follow established BT governance and pricing processes, learning how solutions move from initial requirement through to approved deal.
- Support solution handover to delivery teams, ensuring designs are well‐documented and ready for implementation.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Early experience or exposure to contact centres, telecoms, CX, IT, or cloud‐based solutions
- Interest in solution design, customer experience, and how technology supports business outcomes
- Ability to communicate clearly and ask good questions when working with customers or stakeholders
- Comfortable learning new concepts, tools, and platforms
- Good organisational skills and willingness to follow defined processes
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Some exposure to contact centre or UC platforms (commercial or operational)
- Experience supporting customers, internal users, or sales teams
- Awareness of cloud technologies, networks, or digital customer journeys
- Interest in developing expertise in contact centre platforms and emerging CX technology, including AI
