Why this job matters
This role plays a key part in ensuring we secure the right goods and services at the right time, cost, and quality to support both operational delivery and strategic goals. You’ll be responsible for managing purchasing activities across internal projects and external customer requirements, supporting commercial negotiations and maintaining supplier relationships to deliver value and efficiency across the business. The role also involves close collaboration with our wider Group Procurement function, ensuring alignment with BT’s broader sourcing strategies and governance frameworks. This job role can be based in Ipswich or London. Hybrid (3 days office based & 2 days remote). Monday-Friday 37.5 hours. DV Security Clearance is required. Must have lived in UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage purchasing activities across internal projects and external customer requirements, ensuring timely and accurate processing of requests.
- Act as a key point of contact for external customer purchasing queries, providing guidance, updates, and resolution of issues.
- Support wider business unit teams in preparing and reviewing supplier quotes, pricing models, and customer-facing proposals.
- Oversee the receipting process for goods and services, ensuring accurate tracking, timely approvals, and alignment with financial controls.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure service levels, delivery timelines, and quality standards are met.

Flexible Working
This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
