Why this job matters
Building on our continued success, we’re looking for an Account Manager to drive revenue growth and unlock new commercial opportunities in the Media Technology and Communications vertical, focusing on driving value for customers that require a higher degree of intimacy with more complex solutions or integrations.
You’ll take full ownership of a portfolio of existing customers, focusing on retention, expansion, and consistently exceeding revenue and growth targets. This highly commercial role requires building strong, multi-level relationships, gaining a deep understanding of your customers’ businesses, and influencing key decision-makers.
You’ll lead all commercial and contractual discussions, create and deliver winning account plans, and identify and convert upsell and cross‑sell opportunities in a competitive market. Working closely with acquisition, business development, and delivery teams, you’ll bring the BT growth story to life and maximise the value of our market‑leading network.
As a driven sales professional, you’ll champion cutting‑edge technology, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and turn opportunity into measurable results—while staying ahead of industry trends and new propositions.
What you’ll be doing
- Build long‑term, profitable relationships and respond to escalations.
- Understand your customers’ goals, dreams, and transformational roadmap.
- Craft account plans that outperform the competition and demonstrate BT’s value.
- Use your in‑depth knowledge of BT products and services to deliver complex, commercially savvy solutions.
- Increase satisfaction and Net Promoter Scores.
- Own and nurture key relationships, acting as both connector and strategist.
- Drive new business, manage budgets, target wins, and turn opportunities into results.
- Stay fully up‑to‑speed on our portfolio to pitch value propositions with confidence.

- Commercial & Contract Management – lead meetings, manage contracts, and handle commercial activity.
- CRM Proficiency – accurately record and track all sales activity.
- Collaboration – work effectively with internal teams to deliver products and services.
- Sales & Upselling – identify opportunities for value‑added services and revenue growth.
- Problem‑Solving & Escalation – operate within guidelines and escalation when needed.
