Location: Your contractual base location can be one of our following strategic hubs: Birmingham, Bristol, London or Manchester.
Travel: This role will involve travel across the UK with some overnight stays required; you'll also be part of an on-call rota.
Enhanced Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this role, you'll be required to undergo Security Check (SC) clearance.
Why this job matters
As a Technical Surveillance Specialist, you’ll represent BT, supporting and selling high security and surveillance solutions products, services, and bespoke solutions. You’ll work in BT’s Major Government Surveillance Solutions team supporting a diverse range of customers across government, police, and critical national infrastructure to deliver outcomes that matter to their organisation, employees, and the public.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work with the account team to qualify, propose, design, price and sell appropriate products and services.
- Provide specialised technical support in multiple product areas, and proactively share knowledge and learning with the virtual team.
- Act as specialist products lead for complex surveillance solutions to provide design, install, and project manage as well as on-call in-life support to the surveillance customer helpdesk.

- A comprehensive understanding of public space surveillance technology and legislation.
- A comprehensive understanding of high security access control technology and legislation.
- Security partners accreditation from Bosch, Axis, Milestone, Gallagher, Briefcam etc.
- Hold or be prepared to undergo Security Check (SC) level Security Clearance.
