We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding.## **Why this job matters**Working in strategy means you\’ll be at the very heart of helping decide what BT Consumer (across BT, EE and Plusnet brands) of tomorrow will look like.We work with the most senior stakeholders in the Consumer division delivering projects to investigate new ideas, respond to challenges and shape new concepts. We also help our CEO tell the story of the business and ensure continued alignment with the Consumer strategy.## **What you’ll be doing*** Underpin growth of BT Consumer by identifying, analysing, evaluating and recommending strategic opportunities in the 2-5 year horizon, with particular attention to the capabilities needed to operationalise and capture value in these areas* Participate in dialogues with specific business groups in support of formulating and implementing strategies that will accelerate revenue growth and profitability* Lead small projects or workstreams supporting data-driven, objective strategy recommendations, including environment assessment, analytics and/or business case development* Develop clear, compelling materials to support decision making on strategic topics, with a clear, concise narrative (excellent storytelling skills)* Manage the strategic modelling and analysis to inform and develop BT Consumer strategic plans and operating model, drawing conclusions and making strategic recommendations based on the outputs* Present findings to and influence senior stakeholders across BT’s Consumer Division (MDs/CEO)* Monitor market, competitor and industry insights to identify new growth areas and their impact on the current strategy* Support in the preparation and presentation of ad-hoc papers/presentations for our Board, ExCo and the CEO* Champion, continuously develop and share with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Strategy Development## **The skills and experience you\’ll have under your belt*** Experience from one of the following essential: strategy/management consulting, corporate strategy, in-house strategy, corporate development, FP&A/Commercial Finance (ACA/ACCA), PE/VC, working in a high growth consumer tech business* Team-player, analytical, rigorous standards, comfortable with ambiguity and capable of end-to-end ownership* Confidence working with senior stakeholders across BT Group; an ability to challenge, successfully influence and hold others to account* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Advanced PowerPoint skills and able to independently prepare compelling materials to support decision making on strategic topics* Advanced analytical skills; comfortable in Excel and able to independently construct financial models (e.g. business cases)* Experience of telecoms, TV or comparable industries beneficial but not essential## **Benefits*** Annual on target bonus 10% (based on both personal and company performance)* BT Pension scheme; minimum 5% employee contribution, BT contribution 10%* 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays with the option to buy up to one week\’s work of your contracted hours.
