Flexible Working: The BT group operates a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
The Scope: As a Security Partner Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving strategic alignment between BT and our key UKI cybersecurity partners. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing joint go-to-market initiatives, enabling partner success, and accelerating growth across key sales channels. This role is central to BT’s ambition to be the most trusted provider of secure connectivity and cybersecurity solutions in the UK. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, sales, marketing, and enablement teams to ensure our partner ecosystem is fully leveraged to deliver customer value, market differentiation, and commercial success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and Execute Partner Strategies: Shape and deliver joint go-to-market plans with strategic security partners to drive revenue growth.
- Commercial Deal Enablement: Construct commercial plans, support deal structuring, and manage quarter-end pressures to meet targets.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor sellers and partner stakeholders, ensuring alignment and mutual success.
- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with BT sales teams on joint account planning, pipeline development, and co-selling motions.
- Partner Enablement & Campaigns: Lead partner enablement initiatives, including training, proposition launches, and demand generation campaigns.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on partner performance, pipeline contribution, and strategic outcomes to ensure accountability.
Experience Needed To Be Successful In The Role:
- Cybersecurity Sales & Partner Expertise: Proven experience in partner management or sales within the cybersecurity industry, with a strong understanding of the UK market.
- Commercial Acumen & Deal Execution: Ability to construct deals under pressure, negotiate effectively, and deliver joint go-to-market strategies with MSPs, SIs, and vendors.
- Vendor & Market Knowledge: Familiarity with leading security vendors (e.g., CrowdStrike, Illumio) and experience driving co-selling motions.
- Stakeholder Management & Influence: Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to engage and influence decision-making up to VP level.
- Background & Organisational Awareness: Experience in sales or commercial roles (not product-focused), ideally gained in advisory firms (EY, PwC, Accenture, Deloitte) or large MSPs, with an understanding of complex organisational processes and politics.
