This role is to support the Security Operations function on the site. The post holder is required to manage the front reception desk to provide a security service to the site to include management and escorting of visitors; providing security briefings to cleared employees; fulfilling the role of Site Security Manager to ensure security compliance and reporting of security incidents and breaches; fulfilling the role of site Registrar for all documents or other media; triaging of reported security incidents and to support the Security Operations Manager and team as required.
This job role is based in Cheltenham. Onsite (5 days per week). Monday-Friday (37.5 hours per week). You must be able to obtain DV MOD clearance in order to start this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10 years+ to obtain this.
What you'll be doing:
- Greeting visitors and ensuring hosts are aware of their responsibilities.
- Escorting visitors where required.
- Checking clearances in advance of their visits.
- Maintaining records of site visits for audit purposes.
- Fulfilling the role of Site Security Manager, giving security briefings and ensuring all security incidents and breaches are recorded.
- Being the first point of contact on site for any security issues.
- Fulfilling the role of site Registrar, ensuring all protectively marked documents and media are registered and stored securely.
- Investigating reported security incidents in a proportionate manner until a satisfactory conclusion is reached.
- Responsible for ensuring compliant movement of protectively marked material in accordance with BT Policies and customer requirements.
