The QA Engineering Specialist independently executes a range of critical testing activities for a portfolio of products and services, driving best practice standards for test quality, resource planning and issue resolution, in alignment to business strategy and requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leads and executes product quality strategies for BT\’s service offerings and products, designing test strategies for business-critical initiatives and development.
- Executes a range of testing activities inclusive of test case creation, diagnostics and test data strategy for a portfolio, and is accountable for first/second level diagnostics enabling test delivery to time, cost, quality across multiple workstreams.
- Drives assessments of the portfolio\’s success against test plans and the development of processes and approaches to ensure quality standards of products and services, ensuring testing procedures are compliant with any required industry specific standards.
- Contributes to establishing priorities for the portfolio, including directing service-in-take, expectations on delivery timing and interdependencies, determining resource requirements and monitoring the supplier test delivery outcomes.
- Leads the full lifecycle integration testing to support complex projects to define and drive the deliverables required.
- Leverages service virtualisation, using simulated services instead of actual production services to test systems while still in the pipeline, wherever a 3rd party service is unavailable.
- Contributes to the design and development of test automation solutions that validate the functionality of applications.
- Delivers complex analysis to understand the impacts and causes of defects and issues, driving the team of QA analysts to investigate, identify and define advanced solutions.
- Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in QA engineering best practices and industry standards.
- Mentors other QA engineers, helping to improve the team\’s abilities by acting as a technical resource.
