What You’ll Be Doing:
- Establish a framework to review, prioritize and streamline demand intake for data analytics and insight generation.
- Responsible for defining and scaling the federated resource model enabling data domains to be self-serving regarding data.
- Develop dashboarding/reporting to provide an overview of analytics by domain making data insights more discoverable.
- Proactively identify data-driven insights that can improve customer experience.
- Identify and leverage supporting tools and technology to facilitate an efficient path to data access and insights.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across business units and data domains to ensure buy-in and sponsorship of data insight initiatives.
- Act as a conduit between central governance, delivery units and data owners/stewards, ensuring consistent application of data governance principles and the federated resource model.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance and accelerate quality insights from data.
- Provide training and guidance on access to and consumption of data.
- Mentor and coach a team of professionals, fostering growth and maintaining a high-performing team capable of executing the data management strategy.
- Input into shaping the Data transformation program and business owner for the Operational Insights project.
Skills And Experience:
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements on data governance and analytics tools and techniques.
- Familiar with Data Governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA).
- Knowledge of data models, lineage, and enterprise data platforms.
Business Expertise:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Influence across Business functions on data topics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Data Owners, Stewards, and business units to generate data insights.
- Ability to identify and implement enhancements to data insights framework and approach.
- Understanding of business-critical data domains (e.g. customer, product, finance) and their operational impact.
- Translating technical data issues into business relevant language for non-technical audiences.
Experience you would be expected to have:
- Proven experience in leading data insight/data governance.
- Strong understanding of data frameworks, applications, processes and principles.
- Leadership of small team of data professionals.
