Solution Architect - 5G Enabled Solutions in London

5G, IoT, Edge and AI technologies are transforming how organisations operate—and this role sits at the heart of that transformation. As a 5G Solution Architect, you'll shape outcome‐based solutions that help customers unlock the art of the possible with next‐generation technology. You'll lead customer engagement to identify real business value, craft innovative roadmaps where 5G acts as the catalyst, and ensure BT's solutions are connected, coherent and digitised. You'll also build and nurture partner ecosystems that strengthen BT's proposition, while working hand‐in‐hand with sales teams to develop pipeline and bring major opportunities to life. This is a pivotal role for BT Business as we scale cutting‐edge capabilities and deliver solutions that truly make a difference for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead solution architect on major bids, taking ownership of end‐to‐end technical design to meet customer outcomes.
• Apply deep specialist expertise to advise on a range of complex, high‐impact solutions across 5G, IoT, Edge, AI and XR technologies.
• Serve as a trusted technical point of contact for both internal teams and customer stakeholders.
• Provide thought leadership and sign off medium‐scale, high‐profile technical changes across BT's portfolio.
• Drive sales pipeline with solution sales specialists—using your technology insight to close opportunities and deliver on BT's commitments.
• Develop, deliver and evolve innovative solutions that integrate 5G private networks with AI, IoT and immersive (XR) technologies.
• Work in challenging technical environments with new or non‐standard components, ensuring alignment with BT strategy and customer objectives.
• Collaborate across BT's business units and with external suppliers/partners to shape best‐in‐class solutions.
• Manage reporting on risk, solution design and bid status using BT tools.
• Deliver complex, high‐value work that pushes boundaries and delivers measurable customer impact.

Qualifications

• Background in technical, network or IT service environments—ideally spanning multiple domains.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse internal and external audiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to stay ahead of emerging technology trends and translate them into meaningful business solutions.
• Strong problem‐solving, decision‐making and negotiation capabilities.
• Commercial awareness related to sales cycles, pipeline development and value creation.
• A solution‐focused mindset and the ability to make sound decisions in high‐risk, high‐impact environments.
