What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing the architectural direction for health and security monitoring technologies across a large platform.
  • Engaging closely with operational teams to understand their use cases and requirements for monitoring toolsets.
  • Collaborating with technical architects and security leads to ensure compliance with design standards and security requirements.
  • Documenting processes and procedures required for deployment, maintenance and operational use of monitoring technologies.
  • Championing the use of automation and orchestration capabilities to promote efficiency and improve working processes.

What we’d like to see on your CV:

Mandatory:

  • Familiarity with using Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with one or more of the following areas:
  • Administering or deploying monitoring and observability tools such as CheckMK, Prometheus or Zabbix.
  • Administering or deploying SIEM tools such as Elastic Security, Splunk or Trellix ESM.
  • Working with dashboarding and visualisation tools such as Kibana or Grafana.

Preferred:

  • Ansible automation experience.
  • Knowledge of monitoring networking equipment using SNMP.
  • Understanding of data pipeline tools like NiFi.
  • Experience working in operational environments.
  • Knowledge of data tuning and data quality processes.
