The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance. An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

The Infrastructure Engineering Specialist independently works with Automation, Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) technologies, executing the vision of key technologies within the infrastructure landscape.
This job role is based near the M4 Corridor within a 30-60 minute commute from Swindon. Onsite (5 days office based). Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing, building, developing, testing and maintaining vendor applications to provide robust network management solutions for use on customer facing secure platforms.
- Integrating products across the operating system and applications infrastructure, building assured end-to-end solutions to meet customer operational needs.
- Identifying and implementing design changes, improvements and updates required to keep products within supportability lifecycles.
- Undertaking vendor engagement to ensure performance and functionality of applications software through release updates.
- Producing high and low level design documentation and system build guides.

You’ll definitely have
- Advanced experience in Linux based operating systems including security hardening to industry standards, OS upgrades, patch deployment, and use of security scanning tools.
- Experience with deployment, upgrade and configuration of multi-vendor applications, integrating these with operating systems, security and monitoring tools, active directory, and backup solutions.
- Built & deployed network and infrastructure management & monitoring tools with strong knowledge of SNMP, syslog & IP networking, with OS and network troubleshooting skills.
You might even have
- Experience with SAN storage solutions and networking.
- IP network design including Juniper, Cisco configuration.
- Experience in use of advanced Microsoft Active Directory including Group Policy definition and deployment, including OS and application integration.
- Integration with other supporting systems such as monitoring, patch update and Anti-Virus.
- PKI infrastructure design, build & deployment.
