The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 ÂŁ per year.
This role offers two days working from home and three days per week from our landmark offices in either Birmingham, Sheffield, Bristol, or London. This is a key role within the Commercial Finance team for EE. You will be expected to take the lead from a finance perspective on commercial reporting and base management, articulating the key drivers in an insight-driven manner to guide decision-making. You will influence and shape commercial outcomes to ensure the business hits its financial performance targets. This role will support the Head of Broadband Trading Finance with exposure to the Director community. You will lead on commercial reporting and analysis of Broadband, including inflows, outflows, and re-contracts, provide business partnering support for the Commercial Trading & Planning teams, and take ownership of the quarterly outlooks, rolling forecasts, and longer-term base management.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the commercial reporting process for Broadband and act as the point of contact for articulating commercial performance drivers.
- Finance interface with the Commercial team, influencing future trading direction.
- Ownership of robust performance tracking, ensuring performance is correctly measured and aligned with the P&L outcome.
- Align robust, interlocked financial targets to underpin budget and rolling forecast processes.
- Develop and take ownership of base planning models to highlight longer-term trends across all Consumer brands.
- Identify, quantify, and mitigate risks that may arise from both internal and external factors.
- Conduct ad hoc commercial analysis and impact assessments of market impacts and commercial decisions.
- Think “outside the box” and consider multiple perspectives to identify clear commercial, cash flow, and cost opportunities.
Skills Required:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Data skills – Enhance value reporting across functions and manage complex, large data sets.
- Business partnering skills – Quickly establish credibility and respect, build strong working relationships, influence and coach others.
- Coordination and alignment – Coordinate and align plans across multiple stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen – Quickly understand new ideas and their financial impact on the business.
- Communication skills – Translate complex financial outcomes to senior financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Finance knowledge – Possess excellent knowledge of finance and best practices.
