As a Field Engineer within the End User Workplace team on the Devon & Cornwall and Dorset Police Managed ICT Contract, you will ensure police officers and staff have the IT equipment available to them to perform a public facing role. Your attention to detail and clear record-keeping will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency, directly supporting critical policing activities. By ensuring IT equipment is functioning, you will help underpin essential services, contributing to public safety and the smooth running of police operations.
Please note - This role will require you to be able to travel to multiple client sites across the Dorset area: a full, clean UK driving license will be required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing technical troubleshooting knowledge to resolve 3rd line incidents within SLAs
- Providing technical installation knowledge to complete hardware install move/change requests within SLA
- Completion of Configuration Item change forms and supply with SLA to Configuration Manager
- Providing technical support/knowledge transfer to colleagues when required
- Ensuring technical solutions are supportable within contractual SLAs/KPIs and escalate service affecting issues to management in a timely fashion
Please note you must either hold or be eligible for NPPV 3 Clearance for this role, which will require a minimum of 5 years working history in the UK to be eligible.

- Sufficient experience in a technical support/operational role
- Competent Windows Operating System skills
- Competent MS SCCM Intune deployment skills
- Competent in IT Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Competent organisational skills
