About the role

  • Responsible for secure, accurate and timely compliance with complex lawful requests for assistance and the disclosure of organisations entitled under the Investigatory Powers Act and other legislation, which requires mandatory compliance.
  • Responsible for providing specialist expertise on disclosure platform, the related source systems and disclosure area, and the resolution of any technical operational issues working with and supporting the Technical Support Team in order to achieve this.
  • Leading and undertaking relevant testing activities on the disclosure platforms as required (updated systems, system enhancements etc), and completing the user acceptance testing sign-off.
  • Some of this work may require occasional out of hours working.

This job role can be based in Bristol or Bletchley. Hybrid (3 days office based & 2 days remote). Mon-Fri 37.5. SC Security Clearance is required. Must have lived in UK for 5+ years to obtain clearance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading on the resolution of any technical operational issues.
  • Working with and supporting the wider technical support teams.
  • Develops and maintains processes for the disclosure of information, to meet BT’s legal obligations.
  • Delivering and contributing to the UAT (User Acceptance Testing), applying discipline‑specific technical knowledge to configure, integrate, test, operate systems, services, or products in line with agreed requirements.
  • Contributes to the investigation into errors and/or issues with data to drive change in either systems or processes to ensure issues are not repeated.
  • Contributes and develops improvements for working processes between the different disclosure teams, Technology (Networks), support.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Disclosure support expert: Expert knowledge of specific fixed and mobile products and services, including their platforms and underlying network architecture, the data held within the systems, as well as knowledge of specific end to end obligations system design, standards and applicable underlying security requirements to facilitate support of those platforms.
  • Effective relationships: Develops practical and open relationships across Customers, GSS and with other BT teams.
  • Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases).
  • Product Knowledge (Mandatory): Expert knowledge of Fixed and Mobile disclosure products and how that can be disclosed lawfully.
  • Systems Knowledge (Mandatory): Expert knowledge of all systems used for the disclosure purposes (e.g. CUBO, DRD, ETL, GCP etc), and the technical architecture of these systems.
