We are currently looking for a reliable and safety-conscious FLT or Side Loader Driver to join our busy sawmill team in Melton. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operator, or someone with a valid FLT license who is looking to develop their skills and train into a new role. Working as part of our yard and production team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of timber products across our site using Side Loaders and other handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Side Loader vehicles to pick, move and load timber across our site
- Loading and unloading timber in a fast-paced production environment
- Following Health and Safety procedures at all times
- Completing and coordinating all necessary picking paperwork
- Keeping clear, accurate written records of product details
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
Qualifications
- Valid Side Loader or FLT Counterbalance license (minimum requirement)
- Willingness to train as a Side Loader driver (full training provided)
- Previous experience in a timber or sawmill environment (advantageous)
- Strong awareness of Health and Safety
- Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
- High levels of accuracy and efficiency
Position Details
- Based BSW Timber Solutions, Melton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England
- 40hrs/week (Rotating Shifts, 06:00 - 14:00/14:00 - 22:00) Monday - Friday
- Full Time / Permanent, Competitive salary and benefits package, plus overtime opportunities
